The property market in Kibler Park and everything it can offer your family
Category Suburb News
Kibler Park is, for many good reasons, often described as Joburg's best-kept secret. Its location, at the edge of the city's southern suburbs, makes it the perfect blend of urban convenience and country living. With safe complexes, great amenities nearby and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors, Kibler Park offers a wide array of reasons to call it home. The CSi Property Group takes a closer look.
Affordable, convenient apartments
Kibler Park boasts stunning, affordable and convenient apartments in sectional titles such as Route 82. The features on offer at Route 82 include 24-hour security, biometric access control, armed response and electric fences. Needless to say, it's a secure environment in which life can be lived the way it was intended - for both adults and children. Route 82 also brings convenience to your front door, with an on-site self-service car wash and café.
Great amenities close to home
From schools and medical facilities to shopping centres, there are plenty of amenities close to home for Kibler Park residents. Curro Waterstone College, an independent school catering for learners in all grades, is just a few kilometres from home for residents of Kibler Park, and there is also an array of excellent government schools nearby.
When you need to go shopping for the essentials, you can visit Columbine Square Shopping Centre or Alveda Square, both of which are close to home for Kibler Park residents. When you want a wider range of shops, the nearby Mall of the South offers everything from fashion and furniture to pet care, fast food, banking and more.
When you need medical care, you'll find both Netcare Unitas Hospital and Raslouw Private Hospital. There is also a wide range of doctors, dentists, optometrists, chiropractors and other medical professionals close to home.
Easy access to Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve
One of the things that many Kibler Park residents love most about their home is the easy access to Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. The reserve offers an array of hiking trails suited to everyone from the casual stroller to the intrepid hiker. The Bloubos trail is an out-and-back 5.5km trail that makes a great early morning or late afternoon stroll.
Those looking for a slightly more challenging hike could choose the Dassie, Gifbol, Kieperson Ruins Loop, which may bless you with an opportunity to see game like zebra, black wildebeest or red hartebeest. This trail is a 12.2km loop, with some challenging rocky terrain to cover in parts.
If you're a more intrepid hiker, you may enjoy the Klipriviersberg Loop: a 17.4km route with sharp inclines. This one is suitable for fit hikers with significant experience.
Even if you have no interest in hiking, there are plenty of reasons to visit Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve. It's a widely renowned bird-watchers' paradise and while braais and picnics are not allowed in most of the reserve, there is an area at the entrance precinct where you can enjoy a relaxed picnic or braai - but you'll need to bring your own braai equipment.
Other things to do close by
There's also plenty more to do over weekends and in school holidays if you call Klipriviersberg home. Your home is less than 15km from Gold Reef City Theme Park, where endless thrills await among some of South Africa's fastest and biggest thrill rides. There's also a casino, restaurants, movies and much more.
Keen golfers will be pleased to know that South Downs Country Club, with its 18 holes, is also close to home if you live in Kibler Park.
