"It's central between Johannesburg and Pretoria," she explained. "There's a large variety of schools and shopping centres in the area, as well as hospitals." Midrand offers an array of complexes and estates, which offers a particularly appealing way of life for those interested in a lock-up-and-go lifestyle. "The estates in this area are extremely modern," commented Cook. "Many boast facilities such as clubhouses and swimming pools, as well as braai facilities." One of the first things that residents of Midrand will tell you is that there's plenty to do in the area. For starters, the Irene Village Market, which happens on the first and last Saturday of every month, is within easy reach.
